Wacky Canada Goose

Wacky Canada Goose

I have no idea what this bird is thinking, yet I kind of wish I did. He/she has pecked all the windows of these two store fronts. Its been here awhile, evidence is the droppings as it has made its way North! I am not certain what is delicious about glass, but its something worth pecking and licking (Do Canada Geese have tongues?!)

  1. There was a goose at the office this past fall that was completely spooked by his/her reflection in the side of the cars in the parking lot. It sat there for hours getting really quite upset at the car – pecking at it, flapping its wings, jumping at it etc. I think it may have actually be mentally disturbed. Can birds go crazy?

    1. Seems possible! Last year (maybe the same bird LOL) a goose flew at my sister’s SUV. It did a few swoops towards the vehicle and settled on trying to attack the roof by flying directly into the truck. Bizarre..

  2. if i haven’t told you the time i was chased by a canada goose, i will have to sometime! they rank right up there with cows in my personal opinion. however, this goose maybe is more in love with its reflection and has decided that self love is much more important than finding another goose 😉

  3. hahaha, good idea on dropping the Canada! Maybe then they’d stop at the Canadian border when coming north and leave our roller blade trail alone 🙂 ahhh the freedom that would bring!

  4. We have had a pair living and pooping on the ledge outside our window at work, the outside roof of our front entrance, the whole of last week!! I don’t get why they pick the places they do!

    1. Because these creatures are a little embarassing, a guy at work, who used to work in Ohio and had to deal with them there, suggested we drop “Canada” from their names because they’re not just in Canada! I chuckled at that one… 🙂
